Christle de Beer
Christle leads RIIS’s efforts in the Cape, where she has been based since early 2017. Christle is passionate about bringing in new ideas and innovations that will impact the lives of people around the world positively. She has academic qualifications in Genetics (MSc), Intellectual Property Law (PGDip) and Innovation Engineering (PhD). She is a published academic author on a variety of topics such as research commercialization, leveraging intellectual capital, knowledge sharing and the pursuit of entrepreneurship.
Her background is in the university sector, assisting in transferring technologies to the private sector. This unique role has led to her travelling from New Zealand, to Europe, the UK and USA in pursuit of best practice and building her network and knowledge base. Consequently, she enjoys tasting food and wine from each country she visits and learning about different cultures.
