Alexandra is passionate about promoting social development through innovation and evidence-based health promotion.
She has a broad academic and professional background in communications, research and public health. She has had a chance to work in the UK and South Africa, in small business development, and within international organisations, such as the UN Information Centre South Africa, and the UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs Southern Africa.
Her academic background includes a B.A. in English Linguistics, Literature and Civilisation (Université Paris-Sorbonne) and a M.Sc. in Public Health (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine). During her M.Sc. she particularly focused on health promotion interventions to reduce intimate partner violence and other forms of gender-based violence in South Africa and more broadly, low and middle income countries.
